2:00pm: LARP
I just finished reading what's been going on with the Cam List and I think it's freaking awesome. I wish I could know what's going on behind the scenes. I hope something really awesome comes out of this. I love that people are sticking it to a Justicar and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Also, I've noticed that the number of PC Archons has increased by an incredible amount. It seems like everyone and their mother is an Archon in OWbN. When did that happen?

4:22pm: Lawrence Miles Fan
After reading Alien Bodies by Lawrence Miles (finished it today), I am officially a Lawrence Miles fan. Alien Bodies is definitely one of the better Doctor Who novels I have read (and I have read about 15). The plot of Alien Bodies is the kind of plot that I like. It deals with the Time Lords and other cool things in the Doctor Who universe. If you are a fan of Doctor Who, then you should definitely check out his books.

New Adventures
Christmas On A Rational Planet
Down
Dead Romance

Down and Dead Romance aren't Doctor Who books, but they involve characters from Doctor Who and are very good from what I have heard.

Eighth Doctor Adventures
Alien Bodies
Interference: Book One
Interference: Book Two
The Adventuress of Henrietta Street

Check him out. He may be controversial and an ass, but his books are awesome. And his ideas from Doctor Who aren't all that bad.

4:13pm: Computer Savvy Friends, I Need Your Help!
My Firefox won't recognize our internet connection. Our internet works, but Firefox says that there is no connection or a connection error. Internet Explorer is working for the most part, but it won't work with certain websites such as Facebook and YahooMail. Does anyone know what the problem is?

3:00pm: Fantasy Football
Three out of four of my fantasy teams won this weekend. It was nice to feel victory for once. I need to get rid of Carnel Williams.

7:41am: WHO Are You?
I know that I'm a little manic in my ideas. I have a great idea and want to write about it or run with it for a few weeks, then another idea comes up and I leave the other one in the dusts. I wish I wasn't like this but I am. It can be annoying, but it can totally change a week when I get excited about an idea.

I feel like I finally solved a puzzle. The puzzle I feel that I solved is my Doctor Who RPG puzzle. I been puzzling about this for years, trying to figure out excited how to make it work. The first idea was to have all the players play Time Lord PCs, but I realized that that wouldn't make much sense giving the independent nature of Time Lords, especially renegades. Then, I had the idea of the players would play mostly normal human companions traveling around with an NPC Time Lord. It seemed like a good idea, but it had its problems. Mainly that the players would be so dependent upon an NPC which could steel some of the fun of the game. I have a new idea which I'm very excited about. Who knows whether or not I will be excited about it in a week or more, but I am excited about it now. It will be interesting to see how this idea develops, but I think it is a decent one and am looking forward to exploring it and writing it down on paper. It will be a synthesis of my previous Doctor Who game idea and the space RPG idea that I had. We'll see how it turns out.

10:35pm: Oh My!
I bought an MP3 player. It has 4 gigs of space. It is totally awesome. I'm totally being nerdy by putting video game remixes on it. Overclocked baby!

10:59pm: Colts Win, Colts Win!
The Colts are going to the Super Bowl! The Colts beat the Patriots in what was the most exciting game of the playoffs. I'm so freaking excited! I love the Colts because Peyton Manning is my favorite quarterback.

I really don't like Bill Bellichek (or however his name is spelled). He is not nearly as classy as everyone says he is. He was cool to Tony Dungy after the game, but did you see him dis Peyton Manning. I'm almost as happy that the Patriots as much as I am that the Colts won! I can't wait for the Super Bowl!

4:06pm: Crappy Day
Yesterday was one of the crappiest days I've had in awhile. On the way to work I got a speeding ticket. It was my first one ever. I was ticked for going 55 in a 35. According to my speedometer I was going 50. I thought that the speed limit was 45. So now I have to worry about points on my license and paying an crazy amount of money for the ticket. I don't have a lot of extra money lying around, so this is going to royally screw me over. The cop told us that our brake lights weren't working and luckily didn't give us a ticket for defective equipment.

The school day wasn't that bad. I was in the room with another teacher. I read most of the day.

After school mom and I went to Walmart to get food and get brake lights. We get the stuff and go home. I decided that I'm going to install the new break lights. I get the old one out and try to put the new one in. It won't fit. I'm quit pissed off and throwing around quite a bit of expletives towards this stupid light and the even stupider instruction manual which told me to get the light that wouldn't fit.

Mom and I go out again to go to Blockbuster and AutoZone to get light bulbs that fit. We go to AutoZone, get the bulbs, and install them. Guess what? The brake lights still don't work. Oy! So we went to Blockbuster and I rented Hard Boiled. I watched it when I got home and it made me a little less pissed off.

I'm also finished with Feng Shui and very excited about running a game. I'm also a little scared that I won't be able to capture the action movie feel when I run a game. Hopefully I'll be able to. I rented Hard Boiled, so I could get into the action movie mode for when I run it. I love that movie.

Dad was able to fix the brake lights. I'm not sure how though. He is the master.

I applied for a job at the college library last week. I called them today. It hasn't been filled yet and they have my application. I doubt I'll get the job. Things like that don't happen to me.

I got to see Arielle today which makes me happy. I love her. She is awesome.

4:20pm: At the Mountain of Madness
I read my first Lovecraft story today. I found a website that had all his stories on it, so I decided to read "At the Mountain of Madness" because I had read good things about it on the internet. It was freakin' awesome and really creepy. I like his writing style for the most part. I'm excited about reading another one of his stories. I'll probably read "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" next because I heard it was also good.

5:30pm: Feng Shui: Action Movie Roleplaying
I have finally ordered a copy of Feng Shui: Action Movie Roleplaying today. I am very excited about the possibility of running this game. I love action movies. I always have. The first time I saw Hard Boiled I was in awe. I also still remember the first time I saw Die Hard and Terminator 2. Good times. Now I am totally excited to be able to run a game less based on rules and more based on asskicking descriptions. It'll be lots of fun I think. I just have to recieve and read enough of the book to understand how the game is played. I've read a little about the rules already and they are pretty simple. I like the fact that the only dice you need are two six-sided dice of different colors. That makes things much easier. I can't wait! AHHHH!

12:34pm: Creativity
So I created a fantasy world a couple of years ago, but I haven't really had the chance to do anything with it and it has sat in the notebook I wrote it in for several years. Last month I had the urge to write more on it and flesh out some details. I also had some inspiration for one new race of my own creation and a human subrace. I think that I have created a fairly interesting race for my world. In the future I'll probably post some stuff about my world behind a LJ cut in the next few weeks as I get the stuff typed up.

I also had the chance to run a D&D game based in said world because James went home for Christmas, so we couldn't play the two games that we usually play on alternate Mondays. I took the initiative and ran a game based in my world and it seems to have been a real success. Egger, Jon, and Kittae all seemed to really enjoy it which makes me happy because I really enjoy it when I facilitate people having a good time.

The theme for the world is racism. There is a human Empire that upholds human supremecy and has launched attacks against the two major nonhuman nations, the elven and dwarven nations. The dwarves and elves had to put aside their longstanding distrust and fighting to face this new threat at full strength. They both suffered heavy losses but were eventually able to remove the threat from their borders. The war is at a current standstill and this is where the game takes place.

I'm really excited about the future of this game. The game started at level 3 and the party leveled up in their first session. They got close to leveling up again in their second session. I'm trying to keep the game low-powered and as a result, I am not introducing very high powered magical items into the game. Most of the magical items the group has encountered give bonuses to certain skills rather than combat oriented stuff.

I guess that is it for this installment. Have a nice day. Happy New Year as well. I wonder what 2007 will hold for me. 2006 was quite interesting.

11:11am: I Missed My Friends Yesterday
Because I was over here at Amy's, I wasn't aware that my friends were in town. I was very sad to have missed them, but I did have a very nice night with Arielle which makes up for it. I hope I'll get to see them again in the near future.

12:45pm: Sick Once Again and Better Once Again
I got sick on Wednesday. I couldn't hold any food down and I had a fever. I felt extemely better when I woke up yesterday and I feel even more better this morning. Arielle and I are dogsitting for Amy until next Thursday, so it should be fun times. It's nice to be able to spend some alone time with her. The unfortunate thing is that we are stuck here because mom needed the car. I'm off.

20th December 2006

8:43am: The Word is...
I ended up not getting better as the day went on Friday. I ended up being sick throughout the weekend and Monday and Tuesday. I started feeling slightly better on Monday and even moreso on Tuesday. I don't think I'm 100% recovered now, but I do feel alot better than before.

15th December 2006

10:12am: Ugh...
I don't feel good. I woke up feeling icky. I'm cold and sore. I hope that I'm sick because I really don't want to spend the money to go to the doctor. I hope I start feeling better as the day goes on.

30th November 2006

8:53am: Fuck!
I ripped my favorite sweater this morning. It was my only sweater until this weekend. Now I have two. It is a very nice and comfortable sweater and it has a special place in my heart because Case bought it for me. Mom says that she can sew it and she probably can. Whether it will actually get done is another thing altogether. I'm pissed.

5:00pm: Right Hand, Here is Left Hand.
I had it when the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. It is unfortunate that this often happens in school administration. Instead of having an easy day, I had a horrible day subbing in Special Ed ISS. I don't like agreeing to one thing and having to do another thing. Oi!

After being a substitute teacher for about nine or ten months now, I'm thinking of starting a campaign to change the way schools work. I'm sick and tired of bad kids making it difficult for everyone. If someone doesn't want to be at school, we should let them stay at home or got a job. I think that kids should be expelled for consistently being bad. It would make lives so much easier. I'm seriously thinking about doing something on a political level. It has gotten really bad.

5:31pm: Busy Weekend
My weekend was incredibly busy. On Friday it was my dad's birthday. I wanted Arielle to be there with my family, so I went to Carrollton to pick her up and then back to Villa Rica. On Saturday and Sunday, I helped Arielle and her family move. I am so sore because of it. I don't think I've ever moved so much stuff in my life. I felt good though to actually get some exercise. I should start working out more.

9th November 2006

3:07pm: Allen and the Senate
Allen is supposed to concede at 3:00 pm. This means that the Democrats will control the Senate. This is great news and makes me happy, but I share Geoff's sentiments. I want the Democrats to act like liberals and pursue liberal ideas instead of acting like not as radical conservatives.

I used to think that we should stay in Iraq because we caused the problems there, but now I believe we should get out as soon as possible. I don't think that we will ever "win" in Iraq. It's a huge quagmire.

8th November 2006

2:17pm: New Secretary of Defense
For those who haven't heard, Rumsfeld is stepping down and the new Secretary of Defense is going to be Robert Gates (if he is ratified of course) who was the Head of the CIA from 1991-1993. I know nothing about him, so I can really give no comment on whether he will be better or not. All I know is that Rumsfeld is not good and that almost anyone could be better than him. Maybe even a monkey. I'm watching Bush right now and I can pretty much tell that he's lying through his teeth that Gates would have been the next Defense Secretary if the election yesterday went differently. I hate Bush.
